The Green Communities Initiative is a five-year, $550 million initiative to build more than 8,500 homes that provide significant health, economic and environmental benefits to low-income families and communities across the country.

The Atlanta area has seen amazing growth in the recent decades. That growth has swallowed forests and farms to accomodate new development. With it, the region is losing a part of its past. You have a chance to help preserve the traditions and open space of the area by contributing to Hyde Farm. Please join ifPeople and others in supporting efforts to save Hyde Farm for public use and benefit. The Trust for Public Land and the State of Georgia have designated funds to purchase the property for preservation, and is seeking additional funds from community support. On February 18th and 19th ifPeople will be offering a two-day workshop on the Plone content management system in Córdoba, Argentina. The event will be attended by developers that ifPeople has established relations with as part of its FairSource initiative, as well as other interested members of the community. Plone is the leading Open Source Content Management System (CMS) and part of ifPeople's preferred Web technology platform.
